In | #StayAtHome - Week 14

Monday 22nd June - Friday 26th June

What a scorcher this week has been! With highs of 32oC our priorities this week have included eating ice pops at every opportunity, enjoying dinner outside each night and keeping comfortable in the heat. We (I, especially) have also made huge steps this week with facing the fear of going out and meeting up with people with not one, not two, but three special days and although the anxiety leading up to each was quite overwhelming I feel so much better for having had them. My dad came and did some gardening for us on Fathers Day, I took a trip to our local garden centre to pick up some canes for our runner beans and I finally met up with my bestest friend (as did Elsie) for a walk on Thursday which was just wonderful. There have been lots of advancements on lock down restrictions being lifted in the very near future and whilst we will still be eering on the side of caution, it's been amazing to really begin meeting up with people outdoors and hope it remains safe enough to continue with garden visits from friends and family over the summer.

However, by far the most amazing thing to happen this week was our gorgeous little nephew Henry coming into the world on Wednesday evening. I'm so very proud of my sister-in-law for labouring on the hottest day of the year to get him here safely and I cannot wait to meet him and be his aunty! So many fun cousin times ahead.
