I've been making a real effort to get to places that have been on my 'to-do' list for a while and the Discover Children's Story Centre has been one of those such places. I was gutted we missed the Julia Donaldson exhibition last year and was determined not to do the same with Judith Kerr (especially as a certain little someone loves The Tiger That Came To Tea and Mog The Cat) and from the moment we stepped through the door, I was kicking myself that we'd not made the trip here sooner.

The main museum is made of up of two 'Story Worlds' with every setting you could need to act out your very own tale, a magical Story Garden out the back (which you can see here) and then the exhibition space which was better than I could have ever imagined! Your timed ticket kicks off with The Tiger That Came To Tea being read to the children before you're allowed to enter and explore the wonderful worlds that Judith Kerr has bought us. Ivy ended the day by exclaiming she had had 'the best day ever' and I'm certainly not going to disagree with her.

The Judith Kerr exhibition is on until September 2019 and you can read more about it here
