Ivy Wears: Zara Jacket, Little Bird Top, Boden Dress, Dr Marten Boots

What better way to start the new year than with a special day out in my favourite museum with my favourite women? We'd made the trip especially to see the Gingerbread City (as it's the only thing I can bake and Ivy is particularly fond of the gingerbread man story) and it didn't disappoint - the smell as you headed towards the exhibition was glorious and it was very fun spotting all the different types of sweet and cereal that were used to create the structures. As well as being aesthetically pleasing, it was really interesting reading about the reasons behind each section - one being to promote a women's refuge - and I wish we'd known about it sooner so we could have visited more than once!

After a quick cake pit-stop in the members cafe, we made the most of our visit by heading to the Video Games exhibition too. We have been to so many amazing exhibitions in this space and this didn't quite live up to that of most others (and was a little bit too old for Ivy) but she did have fun in the interactive space at the end and I'm sure Dior, Mary Quant and Tim Walker will make up for that this year.
