So, we finally took the plunge and camped at The Big Feastival this year having only mastered a day trip or two previously. This super-family-friendly festival is a highlight of our year (most especially Ivy's) and I don't think we could have picked a better year line-up wise to try and stay the weekend. We did cheat a little and bought pre-pitched camping (meaning we turned up Friday lunch time to our  ready-assembled tent and airbeds which was 100% worth it for first time campers with two children in tow) but we survived! and having worried about it for weeks, I can honestly say we enjoyed every second.

In hindsight now, the festival is so much easier to manage over the entire weekend (though kids tickets are free for each singular day ticket so it's good to weigh up options) as you can go at a more leisurely pace, head back to the tent for a breather and space out all the utterly lush food but due to the torrential downpours AGAIN, we decided that it wasn't fair on the kids to keep them there any longer than Sunday morning. We had such an amazing time though - rain or shine - on Friday and Saturday which was made extra special by the fact Jodie, Daisy and Andrew joined us for Clean Bandit and Craig David which was most certainly by biggest TBF highlight, ever.
