December 2017

And just like that, we've come to the end of another year. December always whizzes by in such a blur but I am so grateful that once again we have enjoyed a little lady's birthday, finally caught up with close friends we've been unable to see the past few months, had christmas with all my favourite people in the world under one roof  and then enjoyed New Years Eve snuggled up to the man I am so lucky to have built my home and my family with.

I have waited to write this post away from the high emotions surrounding the beginning of a new year (and the end of an old one) with the hope my thoughts have levelled out a bit now were comfortably in January. 2017 was the biggest rollercoaster of a year for me from the joys of welcoming my perfect boy into the world to the 5 general anaesthetics and countless hospital visits we've made Ivy endure and so my only hope for 2018 is just that it's a bit calmer. I have written a nice long list of places I'd like to visit this year (especially before Ivy starts school in september, what) and I have vowed to spend a couple of hours alone with Ivy once a week but I am so happy with everything I have been lucky enough to come out of this life with, why on earth would I want to change too much. I will always strive to be a better parent, a better partner and a better person but that's for more than just new year.

I still cannot believe I managed to get Michael into this Little Bird Jumper for Christmas Day and so I've ended our 2017 photos with my favourite yet! One of my absolute highlights of this year, of course, was the Little Bird shoot that we modelled - I still pinch myself whenever I see the images and I'm so glad this is the photo that sums up all the joy this year has brought. Here's to the next x
