Sunday 6th September

When I'd imagined our summer, it was purely picnics in National Trust estates and finally - in September - there was a day suitable to do exactly that. Aunty Frankie had come down to Oxford to visit which was the perfect excuse to explore our new NT find, Nuffield Place, which conviently has an M&S Simply Food en route and even luckier for us, the sun decided to join us too. Nuffield Place, 'a millionaires modest home', has been left exactly as Lord Nuffield (William Morris) had left it when he died in the 60's and there's no nook and cranny without something interesting to see and the garden's are simply beautiful. I'm excited for so many woodland walks here this Autumn, followed by tried and tested tea and cake too.
